I really hope this place sticks around. I am neither vegan nor vegetarian but a big proponent of the meat/dairy/fish etc. alternatives movement. I had the ‘simple dog’ and found it to be exceptional. The bun was so soft and flavorful (you could tell it wasn’t an average/processed bun) the dog was very convincing and the tomatoes were pleasantly fresh. The house sauces are also very good. Furthermore the decor/vibe is casual mod with some cute sidewalk posts, neon lighting and a few arcade games. Service was prompt and good-natured. I appreciate this location on the whole, seeing it grow over the years from a simple truck- and hope it can work out a way to stay in Ballard (trust me, I know times are rough). There’s not really another place like it in the area.
We ordered Fries, Seattle dog and Elote dog. The corn in the Elote dog was really heavy but nice. Seattle dog was good too. The best part about this place is they make the sauces themselves.
I'm not vegan but a buddy of mine is, so when we're out Im always trying to find vegan food places for us to eat at. Cycle dogs did NOT disappoint! I got a buttered fried chicken sandwich and it was phenomenal!! Honestly I couldn't really even tell that is wasn't real chicken! I also got the street corn and it was tasty as well! Cool spot if you're in the Fremont area and want a quick bite to eat!
DID SOMEONE SAY PICKLE FRIES?! Stellar food! Got to try their lemongrass and kimchi chick’n sandwich with the pickle fries tonight! Go support!! It was very quiet when we got there and they’ve got a great menu ✨
I ordered online for a pickup time at 11:30a. I got a text notification that the order was ready for pick up, on time at 11:30am. I got to the store at 11:32 to pick up my order that was marked ready, and the order was not ready. Per the host they were still working on the fries and today is the day that they clear the oil from the fryer. I thought to myself: “sweet, fresh fries made by clean oil in the fryer”. I got my order at 11:50am. That’s 20 minutes after the food was expected to be ready. All the food I ordered was cold and unpleasant to eat. The picture attached shows black oil that was on the fries under the coleslaw.
Everyone was so nice there. The place was pretty open when we first arrived close to noon, but by the time we were done with our meal, the pack was packed. Plan and arrive early! This place is really good!
The food was great! The Rise $ Shine Breakfast Burrito was beyond filling. The pancakes were super soft and fluffy. The weekend brunch special Krabby Daddy Benedict was flavourful. I want to go back and try other items on the menu, plus you never know what special they'll have, so be sure to check their instagram.
One of the best vegan restaurants for sure in Seattle. I loved the quaint decoration of the place and the staff were friendly. Me and my friend went for brunch. The menu is limited which is good in a sense. I tried their rise and shine burrito which comes with different beyond meat options. It was definitely fulfilling! I wasn't able to finish the whole thing! Coffee is okay-ish. Parking can be a little tricky as the area is crowded. It's surely on my top brunch places now.
I love Cycle Dogs! Stay tuned to their Instagram for specials during the week and for brunch on weekends. …
